Coboworx aims to simplify the use of robotics in small and medium-sized enterprises. Instead of high investments and complex planning, the company offers robots under a rental model – quickly deployable, predictable, and flexible. To make this offering digitally accessible, a new sales channel was established: online, direct, and user-centric. The goal was to reduce barriers and make booking robots as easy as a software subscription.

Rental and subscription models as growth drivers

Instead of the classic product sale, coboworx relies on a servitized business model with rental and subscription offers. Customers benefit from low initial costs, predictable monthly payments, and comprehensive service – an attractive offer for cost-conscious SMEs. For coboworx, this creates a predictable, recurring revenue model with high scalability. The business model transforms robotics from a capital-intensive acquisition into a flexible service product.

The online configurator as a digital direct sales channel

The heart of the digital solution is an intuitive online configurator that makes complex automation understandable. Users can assemble custom robot solutions in just a few steps – transparently, visually guided, and without sales pressure. This not only reduces the effort of explanation but also replaces traditional field service with a scalable, digital customer journey. The tool was developed in close collaboration with the target group – iteratively, user-centred, and with a focus on ease of use. The results speak for themselves: The number of qualified leads has tripled.

Uniform look for scalable digital products

To visually strengthen the modern positioning of coboworx, the brand style guide has been translated into a digital design system. To achieve this, we revised the existing corporate identity and implemented central UI components based on the Atomic Design principle.


The result: a consistent, scalable system that enables uniform user experiences and efficient development not only for the online configurator but also for future digital products.
